Name: Balberith - Age: ??? - Height: 6'2" - Weight: 189 lbs. - Weapons: Marrow Jian, bone claws, spikes, conjured shades (shades are unable to attack opponent they are merely used for deception) - Most of his appearance is made up of different shades of crimson including his skin and eyes. He rarely removes his armor and never takes off his helm. He speaks with a clear and subtle voice, and according to some he is a liar when not answering questions. Is rumored he can turn all metals into gold but this skill yet is to be witnessed. - History: Once he was a young warrior who went by the name of Bal. Handsome and strong he was the pride of his village. Bal fell in love with a Geisha named Rie. His heart belonged to her and his sword belonged to the people of his village. While off fighting a rival clan an evil and powerful shogun, Jikininki, destroyed Bal's village and took Rie as his slave and wife. Upon returning from victory Bal found his home in ruin and aflame, all his family and friends slain. In anger and anguish using a silver ring he received from Rie he conjured the demon Berith, a Great Duke of Hell. - Bal made a pact with Berith in order to have the power to avenge his village and his love. Bal paid the most serious price sacrificing his soul and merging with the demon Berith. The handsome Bal was transformed into a monster of a man, with increased strength, speed and a ferocious rage. Berith lost his demonic powers but was now able to walk amongst men. From the union the crimson warrior Balberith was born. Dawning armor created by Berith made from the remains and ashes of the village and the bones of its people, Balberith burnt a path of carnage and destruction to the court of Shogun Jikininki. - In his blind rage he murdered Shogun Jikininki, and then continued to kill everyone in Jikininki's clan. Having believed that Rie was already dead, Balberith cut her down, stabbing her through the heart. Upon realizing what he had done legend says that he cut out his own heart to save Rie. The demon Berith would not let his new host die in this benevolent act. Bal's self sacrifice would have sent his soul to heaven. Instead Berith petrified Rie turning her into a statue of solid gold and trapping her soul. The only way to free his love's soul was for Bal to remain as Balberith. - Over time his mind has been poisoned by the demon within him and he has all but forgotten about the man he was and Rie's trapped soul. Balberith has ruthlessly risen to the rank of shogun, a powerful and terrible warrior; he never shows compassion or mercy. What is to be expected from a man without a heart? - </3 alberith>
